Advanced Motors & Drives (AMD), a leading designer and manufacturer of special purpose AC, DC and brushless DC motors for traction, pump and steering applications in consumer, commercial and industrial markets has achieved ISO 9001:2008 Registration for its quality management system.

Achieving ISO 9001 Certification reflects Advanced Motors & Drives’ commitment to exceed customer expectations, said Bud Hittie, president and chief operating officer. “The ISO process and the registration that we earned through it validate our long standing commitment of providing our customers with high quality, reliable products. AMD’s special purpose wound field DC, AC, and brushless DC motors and after-market parts include standard AC motors from 5.5" (114 mm) to 13.0" (330 mm) with continuous power ranging between .5 hp (.37 kW) to 35 hp (26 kW) and standard DC motors range from 4.5" (114 mm) to 9.0" (230 mm) with continuous power ranging between .5 hp (.37 kW) to 35 hp (26 kW). These products serve battery powered market sectors such as renewable energy (including wind energy), material handling, golf, industrial, aerial work platform and marine applications.
